Helen Petrusa, Human Resource Manager, Mission Australia

"Mission Australia has worked with Insync Surveys since 2006. Their products (Organisation Alignment Survey and Exit Survey) have provided us with valuable information about our business and its people; that have led us to plan for and take action to improve what we do. Insync Surveys has worked with us to understand our business and provide a service that is professional and supportive."

Sandra Turnbull, Performance Improvement Coordinator, Macedon Ranges Shire Council

"I was very impressed with Insync Surveys' people and the Organisational Alignment Survey. Your people were delightful to work with as they took the time to fully understand our needs and modify the product to match our requirements. They demonstrated excellence in responsiveness and professional courtesy, which made it easy to work collaboratively on this project. Our research project manager provided both the executive summary and final presentation to our executive team, within our very tight timeline. The end result has shown us current causes for celebration and pointed us in the right direction to help us aim for future celebrations."

Craig Sandiford, Exego (formerly Repco), Group General Manager - Human Resources

"A well researched and developed product with outstanding professional consulting support. This has enabled us to track how we as on overall organisation are performing in the key areas of organisational alignment and engagement, as well as being able to drill down to the questions driving those results."

William Whitford, Managing Director, Treasury Corporation of Victoria

"Insync Surveys has been providing valuable services to my organisation for a number of years. They have provided the platform and professional support to help us comprehensively understand the attitudes of our staff and make numerous changes for the better."

Bonita Croft, Group Executive Human Resources, Investa

"The Organisation Alignment Survey pinpoints specific areas of good practice to be shared and less than good practice to be examined. Our first time around provided a solid base from which to manage improvements and to measure progress."

James Mills, Group Accountant, Tamex Transport

"The Insync Surveys Organisation Alignment Survey was the perfect tool to challenge our gut feel on the sentiment of our staff towards the organisation and the culture we’ve created and assumed existed. The objectivity, insights, and tabular results within the report have proved invaluable in directing and supporting our efforts to measure and nurture the alignment of our staff."

Belinda McPhee, Head of Human Resources, Apparel Group

"Insync Surveys’ Organisation Alignment Survey has assisted our business to focus on the REAL issues and cut through organisational noise that often masks obstacles inhibiting performance. This has allowed us to act promptly to continually improve and evolve our business."

Graham Barkus, Manager, Learning & Development Group, Cathay Pacific

Dr John Henstridge, principal consultant statistician of Data Analysis Australia, worked with Insync Surveys in 2003 and directed the development of the statistical themes and methods for the analysis and reporting of the Insync Surveys’ Organisation Alignment Survey.

In a letter written to Insync Surveys, Dr Henstridge validated the statistical foundations of the survey.

"When management decides to act, it must be on the basis of real issues and action must be directed at the right parts of the organisation. The Organisation Alignment Survey is a practical, powerful and accurate tool that delivers this guidance to clients," he said. Read the letter »

Kylie De Paoli, Human Resources Manager, SEMF Pty Ltd

"Employee attraction and retention is a real challenge for SEMF given the current labour shortage in the engineering sector. I've been very impressed with Insync Surveys' Organisation Alignment Survey and the quality of information provided. The results will enable SEMF to better meet employees' needs and make sure we are equipped for delivering on our strategic plan. Given it was the first time SEMF had conducted a survey of its employees, the management team felt a little overwhelmed with the results. However, with the support and guidance of the Insync Surveys team we were able to identify five key areas we needed to focus on over the next 12 months. The Managing Director of SEMF is very pleased with the tool, information and support to move forward and develop actions around the results. Insync Surveys' team has been fantastic and we look forward to continuing the relationship."

Craig Sandiford, HR Group General Manager, Repco

"The Insync Surveys Organisation Alignment Survey exceeded my expectations in terms of project management, customer service and the superior nature of the survey tool. It has allowed us to identify the high level issues that exist within the Repco Group of companies and then drill down to understand exactly what the underlying issues are behind that data."

Toby Hall, CEO, Mission Australia

"With 3500 staff, Mission Australia used Insync Surveys’ Organisation Alignment Survey to assess our readiness for a new strategic direction.

"Insync Surveys helped us achieve a great survey response rate and also delivered 60 tailored reports detailing the performance of all our major teams. This gave me insights into every part of the organisation that I could not have otherwise achieved. I particularly liked Insync Surveys’ personal approach. The main benefit has been a clearer idea of our leadership and change capability."

Mark Woodard, CEO — Presbyterian Support Central, Wellington, New Zealand

"As the incoming CEO I found the Organisation Alignment Survey particularly useful. The survey helped us identity areas of concern for both the organisation and specific sub-groups within it. These lessons have helped us shape our planning process long term but equally invited us to instigate some clear initiatives in relation to training, planning and accessibility of the Central Office. The Board, too, valued the information contained in the report primarily in terms of the cultural snapshot it offered of the organisation."

Cheryl Woollard, General Manager Global Human Resources — Air International Thermal Systems

"I have used employee surveys before but none of them has been able to deliver the strategic diagnosis of an organisation that the Insync Surveys Organisation Alignment Survey delivers. The survey provided our company with base line data before embarking on a major growth and organisational change strategy. Using the Insync Surveys diagnostic tool across our international team we were able to gain an in depth analysis of our capabilities in terms of planning, processes and culture. The learning we gained from the survey assisted us to highlight our strengths and areas of risks in implementing our major initiatives and enabled us to designed specific interventions."

Professor Steve Wesselingh, BMBS, PhD, FRACP, Managing Director — The Macfarlane Burnet Institute for Medical Research and Public Health, Melbourne:

"I would just like to inform you that we found working with your company extremely beneficial.

"Balancing the scientific, medical and training objectives of medical research projects is a real issue. It is crucial that the direction of our institute projects is guided to an appropriate extent by our institute’s strategic plan.

"The Insync Surveys Report told me three important things — the extent to which our people know where we want to take the organisation — the extent to which our people believe that our internal functioning is assisting us to get where we have decided to go; and — whether these efforts are supported by a reciprocal sense of commitment to and from our staff.

"The Insync Surveys tool identified processes and procedures that were being interpreted differently by various departments and project personnel. In doing so, it revealed both some ‘easy wins’ and some systemic issues that will take longer to address.

“However, most of the results were very pleasing indeed, and highlighted areas of best practice that we intend to continue and improve for the benefit of the whole organisation.

“Our improvement initiatives will assist us greatly in achieving our overall aims, facilitate growth and significantly improve the morale of our staff.

"We look forward to repeating the Insync Surveys Organisation Alignment Survey process in the future to help measure our organisation’s progress."

Graeme Mitchell, General Manager — Archer Village, Christchurch, New Zealand

"We are a small not-for-profit, stand alone organisation and questioned the investment and relevance that a global consultancy agency could really offer us. Yet, we were impressed with what they were offering, to improve our team's fulfilment - performance, and consequently profitability; and their promises of support.

"The results have exceeded our expectations.

"The Insync Surveys team has been outstanding in their support, follow-up, analysis feedback and recommendations moving forward.

"Des McGowan, Insync Surveys' Executive Director and Founder ‘walks his talk’ and his personable character instantly ensures you and your organisation are treated like members of a close knit family.

"As for the 'Organisation Alignment Survey' spin, it's true, our staff found it easy to complete, and the results have made a significant impact in improving our organisation and performance. The results have opened our eyes to issues and allowed us to make changes that will enhance our services to staff and our people we serve.

"Finally would or will we do it again? Nothing stays the same, and without hesitation, Insync Surveys will hear from us again!"

Christine Grinstead, Global Human Resources Manager — Ingeus Group, Brisbane:

"The process of setting up the Insync Surveys Organisation Alignment Survey was logical and straightforward; we were able to get reports on each of our businesses, each of our offices, and each of our job types.

"This showed us exactly where our challenges lay and also our areas of best practice.

"The advantages of the Insync Surveys Report over an employee opinion survey are that it provides a strategic perspective and is forward looking.

"It also looks beyond employee commitment to the things that drive commitment in a culture.

"The Insync Surveys Report is a well presented, comprehensive document that not only gave us one-page snapshots of each employee group/office, but also contained incredible detail, allowing us to drill down to individual issues in each of our offices.

"It will prove an invaluable tool that will inform much of our strategic work in the coming year."

Anthony Starkins, Chief Executive Officer – First Samuel, Melbourne:

"The three main benefits of the Insync Surveys Organisation Alignment Survey process for First Samuel were:

  1. Management: The Insync Surveys Report identified and measured areas of concern in the alignment of employees to the company’s goals that might have otherwise been hidden and grouped those concerns in an easily addressable manner.
  2. Employees:Gave the employees a sense that their voice was being heard in an effective but confidential manner
  3. Board: Provided the board with confidence that management was looking beyond today’s P&L towards sustaining the business by aligning the employees with the company’s goals."

Jennifer Lord, Group HR Manager – OAMPS Insurance Brokers, Melbourne:

"OAMPS is a dynamic organisation which had been in a major acquisition phase for 18 months prior to the Insync Surveys Organisation Alignment Survey process. We had purchased around 25 companies, and consolidated them into five business lines in around 30 distinct locations.

"Insync Surveys offered us the chance to assess the effectiveness of our integration programs and where we needed to focus our efforts moving forward.

"One of Insync Surveys’ key differentiators is that it is built on a solid framework. Through years of research and observation the Insync Surveys team has realised that employee satisfaction is a symptom and not a cause of performance. The Insync Surveys framework gave me access to the levers that drive satisfaction. For the first time I could see the cause and not just the symptom.

"The framework also makes the Insync Surveys Report truly strategic. Companies get feedback from external sources, but our people are a vital resource with a lot to teach us about strategic direction. Insync Surveys completed our picture of ourselves.

"HR leaders are often attuned to undercurrents within the workforce, but with the Insync Surveys Report under my arm I can back up my hunches with hard data.

"It was a pleasure to work with the Insync Surveys team who were responsive to our needs and ensured that the process delivered us a solid business outcome.

"I look forward to benchmarking our results and interventions next year."

Simon Marsh, Managing Partner – PKF, Melbourne:

"Insync Surveys really ‘hit the mark’ in accurately identifying those parts of our business that needed to be addressed by us.

"Insync Surveys’s comparison of the drivers of performance for individual departments gave us great insight into each component of our organisation… [and] into the various divisions and employee classifications of the organisation in relation to their identification with the firm's vision and direction. It also indicated the extent to which the firm was meeting employees’ expectations.

"We plan to use the Insync Surveys’ Organisation Alignment Survey as a key foundation stone for our forthcoming strategic planning meeting."

Guido Lilio, Manager, HR Services — BASF Australia & New Zealand:

"We found the approach, alignment methodology and follow-up services of Insync Surveys to be outstanding.

"The Insync Surveys Report, which covers all our key locations and business units, will be one of the main tools we use to set the direction of our business over the next 12 months."

Kerry Osborne, Managing Director — CityWide Services, Melbourne:

"I had a gut feeling the issues highlighted by Insync Surveys Report existed, but now I have real data upon which to take action. We have previously carried out many surveys.

"This is the first survey that has taken a whole-of-organisation approach to our business. It was invaluable."

Greg Ashmead, Deputy Managing Director — Ingeus Group of Companies, Brisbane:

"The Insync Surveys Organisation Alignment Survey will prove a valuable tool to me when I report to our Board.

"It gives well-presented evidence directly from our staff that will assist in guiding future strategic initiatives. The Insync Surveys tool has pointed out some easy wins in the organisation, and has helped me prioritise our main improvement initiatives for the coming year.

"From an executive viewpoint, I liked the one page snapshot of the whole organisation, and each of our offices. The detail you provide to support the summary pages was also easy to understand and highly valuable.

"The staff comments section of the report allowed our people to speak directly to senior management without fear of reprisal."

Anonymous feedback from survey respondents:

"I believe this survey allows people to express opinions that they may not feel comfortable speaking with management about."

"Great idea… thank you"

"Great innovation… easy to use and understand"

"The structure of the survey is clear and easy to work through"

"About time something like this was done!"
